Simple Homemade Hummus
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas
1 clove garlic
3 tbsp tahini
3 tbsp olive oil
pinch of salt
2 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
Drain and rinse one can of chickpeas, reserving the liquid.
Add chickpeas to a food processor or blender along with garlic, tahini, olive oil, salt, and lemon.
Blend for a few minutes, occasionally scraping down the sides of your blender to make sure everything is incorporated. While you are doing this, you can slowly add the liquid from the chickpea can (1 tbsp at a time) to make blending easier until hummus has reached optimum creaminess.
Top with more olive oil and paprika. Serve with fresh veggies and warm pita bread.
